Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe was born on March 21, 1966 to the family of Pa Joseph Adejinmi Tegbe of Labo, Ibadan and Mrs Rhoda Olubunmi Tegbe (nee Ibikunle) of Akogun Ibukunle family in Orile-Owu.

He attended St Mary RCM School, Asogo Oyo and Federal Government College, Ogbomoso for his primary and secondary education. As a National scholar and multiple award winner, he proceeded to Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife to study Civil Engineering and graduated with First Class Honours.

He is an alumnus of the Executive Management Programme by Harvard Business School, Strategic Management Programme from INSEAD (France) and the Advanced Management Programme of the Lagos Business School. He is currently rounding off a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from the University of Birmingham.




Tegbe is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and is Certified in the Governance of Enterprise Information Technology. He is a management consulting expert, who served as Senior Partner and Head of Advisory Services for KPMG in Nigeria and West Africa.

He has deep experience in leading transformation projects for various companies and institutions across the public and private sectors of the economy. Joseph has garnered over 30 years of extensive experience in accounting, tax, management consulting and technology advisory services including reforms and transformation of major public institutions at state and national levels in Nigeria and West Africa such as NCC, NIMC, BPE, FHA, FIRS, etc.




Tegbe’s foray into politics commenced in 2011 and was an aspirant in the 2019 Oyo state governorship election but withdrew during the All Progressives Congress primary election. He facilitated and moderated at various state, national and international programs including Presidential- Ministerial Retreat/Policy Dialogue from 2019-2021. He is an active member of the Infrastructure and Human Capital Development Committee of the Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG). He served as the Chairman of the National Council for Management Development (NCMD), and member of the boards of trustees of Federal Government College, Ogbomoso and Unity Schools Old Students Associations.

In 2019, Tegbe was named Most Distinguished Ibadan Indigenes by the Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes (CCII). Upon nomination by his family, he was installed as the Mogaji of Oguntegbe Compound of Labo area of Ibadan by the Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Saliu Adetunji, Aje Ogungunniso I.







He is a member of Ikoyi Club, Ibadan Solidarity Group, Ibadan Recreation Club, Fountain of Hope Society in St David’s Cathedral Kudeti, MUB in St Michaels Cathedral, Oyo and Patron of Oyo Atiba Elite, among others.

He is married to Mrs Abimbola Tegbe (nee Ayandipo) and blessed with two sons.
