Be Good Ambassadors Of Your Institution, Makinde Tells Oke-Ogun Polytechnic Graduands, Commissions Laboratory

 

The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has charged graduands of the Oke-Ogun Polytehnic-TOPS, Saki, to be good ambassadors of the institution, noting that they should not relent in their academic pursuits.

The Chief of Staff to Governor Seyi Makinde, Otunba Segun Ogunwuyi, who represented his principal at the event, reiterated the institution’s Mandate of training low level and middle-level technological manpower, and also commended the school authority for achieving the feat.

He, however, emphasized that the current administration would continue to prioritize education as one of the four key pillars of Makinde-led government.

Ogunwuyi also appreciated the unquantifiable contributions of the past and present Governing Council and Management of the Institution for the laudable policies they formulated and implemented, which have helped to take the institution to an enviable height.

During the epoch-making event, a multimillion naira central Laboratory complex named after Governor Seyi Makinde, was also commissioned.

Students and staffs of the institution were charged to make good use of the complex as its importance can never be overemphasized.

Ogunwuyi equally used the avenue to advise parents, students, staff and other citizens present at the event to keep supporting Governor Seyi Makinde in his efforts to totally reposition Oyo state to its deserving status.

Dignitaries at the event include were Oyo State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Abdulrahman Abduraheem, commisioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Hon. Adeniyi Olabode Adebisi, the Governing Council Chairman of Oke-Ogun Polytechnic, Barr. Lateef Abiola Sarafadeen amongst others.
